Description

Everyone, meet Kimba. [ A story of faith ]

:iconargylepocky: and I were on our way to our Speech Class after spending lunch at a popular burger joint when we saw this little gray thing on the road. It was a rather trafficked area and we assumed it was an opossum or a gray squirrel or some other animal that generally god killed on roads. Pulling up slowly due to the red light ahead we noticed that it was indeed a kitten. We more or less began to freak out due to the fact we did not want to see a kitten of all things killed. Our fears were doubled when a semi-ahead of us began to move. The kitten went missing under the vehicle and we watched with horror assuming we were going to witness the little things death.

The semi drove away and the kitten was safe, more or less clinging to the road. It was then that we (Argyle, more or less made the decision) stopped the car and put the hazards on in the middle of the road and she got out. Picking up the kitten, we quickly pulled into the parking lot of a shopping center. The kitten, for lack of a better word, was extremely fearful. Allowing us time to relax we finally went to our school and consulted in friends of ours in the theatre shop who gave us a box, some pointers on kittens, and matting for the box. We then arrived to Speech a good ten minutes late (but our Professor is understanding) and kept the kitten in the box with us, keeping an eye on her.

When we got home, we immediately set up a Facebook Event page in hopes of finding her a home.

It's times like this that my faith is restored in people. Through the support of a lot of people, we found Kimba a very loving home. Numerous people offered her a place to stay until we found it due to our parents being allergic, and many others who had allergies or didn't even like cats offered to ask their friends and families if anyone was interested in her. It's thanks to them that she is now spending her first night at her new home.

It's interesting how fate works, huh?

Great picture, botan! She's very cute. I'm glad you managed to find her a home. Why'd you call her Kimba? I want a kitten now! Anyway, cool story, everything worked out so well! :)
